Stay with us as part of our family, enjoy good home cooked food with the freshest of fish and adjust to a slower pace of life. We can tailor activities to help you get the most out of your stay, walking tours around the local environment, nature trails, fishing trips, cultural events, art and craft lessons, or simply resting in a hammock.

As we are a bilingual English/Portuguese household we can offer a home from home for English speakers with little or no Portuguese and can help you develop your language skills.
Our house is on the outskirts of the village, surrounded by our organic garden where we grow various fruit trees, vegetables and flowers. We made our home as environmentally friendly as it was possible for us to do, and are constantly striving to make it more so.
Ours is a family home with children and a collection of cats and dogs, if you are allergic to any of the above, then sadly we are not the place for you. Our house is sometimes peaceful, sometimes not, but never dull.
We don’t claim to offer luxury accommodation but we do offer simple, clean rooms in our home. We treat all our guests as friends and many visitors have remained in touch with some regularly returning to us, finding the magic of Canto Verde has got under their skin.
We offer rooms for singles, couples or small groups of up to five people sharing two rooms.

Group rates by arrangement.
We run a restaurant service, offering a wide variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian foods to suit your taste and pocket. We are happy to cater for special dietary requirements but request that you discuss your needs with us in advance.
